Winter term course

In late January, ten Harvard undergraduates from a variety of majors spent five days of their winter break at the Harvard Forest in a new interdisciplinary program called "Reading and Conserving the New England Landscape." The program was made possible by a generous grant from the Harvard President's January Innovation Fund. Through hands-on field activities and a series of mini-lectures led by Harvard researchers and local artists, the students explored a variety of environmental topics, ranging from climate change and invasive species to paleoecology and landscape design.
