This past June, Schoolyard Ecology, Harvard Forest’s K12 participatory climate education program, published its inaugural issue of a new journal of student work. In this issue, you will see contributions from different schoolyard sites around New England (and Georgia!) telling you what the students are noticing and wondering about the trees in their schoolyards. Submissions from all three of our schoolyard projects are represented. The journal was peer edited by a dedicated group of high school students from Woodstock Academy in Connecticut. Our lead editor was graduate student Jen Nilsen from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Read it here!
