Setting up Wireless for Devices

Guest Wireless Access (24 hour connection)

  • Make sure your wireless is turned on
  • View available networks and connect to: Harvard University
  • Open a web browser
  • go to http://getonline.harvard.edu
  • select "I am a guest" button
  • Register for guest access
  • Enter name and contact information and accept the terms of service to receive login credentials
  • Log in by clicking the "Log in" button
  • Pictoral instructions are available for further help

Sponsored Guest Wireless Access (up to 3 months)

  • After you have received login credentials from a Harvard Forest employee
  • Make sure your wireless is turned on
  • View available networks and connect to:Harvard University
  • Open a web browser
  • go to http://getonline.harvard.edu
  • Select "I am a guest" button
  • select "Log in with guest credentials" button
  • Enter username and password
  • Accept the terms of use
  • Pictoral instructions are available for further help

EduRoam Wireless Access

  • Make sure your wireless is turned on
  • View available networks and connect to:Harvard University
  • Open a web browser
  • go to http://getonline.harvard.edu
  • select "I have a HarvardKey" button
  • Choose "eduroam" button
  • enter username(full email) and password
  • Accept the terms of use
  • Pictoral instructions are available for further help

HarvardKey Wireless Access

  • Make sure your wireless is turned on
  • View available networks and connect to:Harvard University
  • Open a web browser
  • go to http://getonline.harvard.edu
  • select "I have a HarvardKey" button
  • Choose "Harvard Secure" button
  • enter username(full email) and harvardkey
  • Follow remaining instructions on the device
  • Pictoral instructions are available for further help

Adding a Guest Sponsored Account for Wireless Access

  • go to http://getonline.harvard.edu
  • select "I have a HarvardKey" button
  • Choose "Create a Sponsored Guest Account" button
  • enter username(full email) and harvardkey authentication
  • Select "Create Guest Account"
  • Follow remaining instructions on the device (including duration of guest account)
