Audrey Barker Plotkin

Audrey Barker Plotkin is Senior Scientist and Site & Research Manager at the Harvard Forest, and co-director of the Harvard Forest Summer Research Program in Ecology. Her research delves into long-term forest development, especially how forests respond to disturbances such as wind and insect outbreaks. She has a BA from Carleton College in Biology, with a Natural History Concentration, and an MS in Forestry from the University of Maine, where she focused on forest ecology and silviculture. She is pursuing a PhD in Environmental Conservation in the Spatial Ecology Lab at the University of Massachusetts. Audrey is involved in land management as a Massachusetts licensed forester.
