Connect to a Harvard Forest Printer

Follow this procedure for adding all HF printers

Step-by-step instructions to set up a printer at HF can be found on the Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT) web page.

Login into the HUIT service portal Service Portal – IT Help (service-now.com), then go to How To Set Up A Network Printer On A Computer – IT Help (service-now.com) Setup 

NOTE: this should be done while the computer is connected to the internet via wired (ethernet) or VPN connection. You will need administrative privileges on the computer to proceed.

  • Use the following link to navigate to print driver: IM 2500/2500A/3000/3000A/3500/3500A/ 4000/5000/6000 Downloads | Ricoh Global
  • Recommended driver: Ricoh PCL 6 Driver
  • Download the driver and open the file.
  • Follow directions on the driver installer program
  • Choose “Network” for setup method
  • The installer program should find the copier. IP address: 140.247.220.241
  • Select the copier and click “next”
  • Follow remainder of the steps to finish installation.

  • Download: Ricoh PCL 6 Driver
  • Download the driver and open the file.
  • Follow directions on the driver installer program
  • Choose “Network” for setup method
  • The installer program should find the copier. IP address: 140.247.220.203
  • Select the copier and click “next”
  • Follow remainder of the steps to finish installation.
