Hurricane Salvage at Connors Pond- Horse and Scoot

Connor's Pond in Barre Woods (now Slab City), was a N.E.T.S.A. receiving point. This photo shows the salvage efforts being conducted after the 1938 hurricane, notice the horses and scoot on the ice.  The photo was taken from the highway in January 1939.
