Polly Hill Arboretum to Host Map Release Event

On July 7, 2016, the Polly Hill Arboretum will host a presentation by author David Foster about a unique new map of the Vineyard.
In the presentation, "Historic Insights to the Vineyard’s Future: Henry Whiting and the Map of 1850," Foster will illuminate the history of the Vineyard landscape, and the origins of the 1850 map and its significance today.
The event is free and open to the public, and will be held in the MV Agricultural Hall in West Tisbury. Event co-sponsors are the Polly Hill Arboretum and the Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Society.
