Synthesizing, evaluating, and learning from long-term ecological data

This year, we highlight 30 years of the Harvard Forest LTER Program. What insights can we draw from sustained study of the forest ecosystem? For what processes is 30 years a long time? For what processes is 30 years a blink of an eye? In addition to talks, discussions, and a poster session, we will offer a guided walk through the Hemlock Hospice Art Installation.

All researchers working at Harvard Forest (LTER, staff, students and visiting scientists) are asked to submit an abstract for each of their current or proposed studies, to be published online.  This forms an important record of the scope of work at Harvard Forest.

Please submit an abstract whether or not you can attend the symposium and whether or not you’ll be presenting a talk or poster.  Submit abstracts by March 9 to be included in a listing of abstracts distributed at the meeting.

All HF research groups are invited to bring posters to the meeting.  Undergraduate and graduate students are particularly encouraged to participate.  Plans to bring a poster can be indicated on the abstract submission form.
