Watchusett commuter rail station - 55 Authority Drive, Fitchburg, MA is 25 minute drive from Harvard Forest. Access the commuter rail schedule. Fitchburg line. Access a Subway Map. Commuter train is purple, MBTA Harvard Square is on Red Line.

1. Go RIGHT from the HF parking lot onto Main St./Rt. 32N
2. After 3 miles, take LEFT onto Route 2 East (towards Boston)
3. Take Exit 28
4. Turn LEFT on Princeton Rd./ RT 31N
5. Take LEFT on Authority Dr and park
6. Take INBOUND train. Purchase ticket on board.
7. Exit train at Porter Square stop
8. Board the Red Line MBTA train going INBOUND toward Braintree/Ashmont. Purchase ticket at Kiosk. 
9. Travel for ONE stop, exiting at Harvard Square
