October 1, 2011
Printer-friendly version

Harvard Forest has received a departmental support grant from the Harvard University Tozier Fund to upgrade our audio-visual and video conferencing capabilities. The Dr. Charles H. Tozier Fund was designated to support visual education in the sciences. The grant of $40,000 is being used to install a state-of-the art video display, wall-mounted camera, audio system, and wireless microphones for video conferences. The upgrade will enable others outside of Harvard Forest to attend seminars and lab meetings at the Forest and give Harvard Forest staff, students, and visiting scientists the ability to participate in activities held at other Harvard Departments and institutions. This upgrade will effectively shrink the physical divide between the main Cambridge campus and Harvard Forest. The renovation will be complete by October 7th, 2011.
