Steve Wofsy

We heartily congratulate Steve Wofsy--Harvard faculty member in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and longtime research associate at the Harvard Forest--who has received the Roger Revelle Medal from the American Geophysical Union. The award is given to one scientist annually "for outstanding contributions in atmospheric sciences, atmosphere-ocean coupling, atmosphere-land coupling, biogeochemical cycles, climate, or related aspects of the Earth system."

Dr. Wofsy is the lead PI on Harvard Forest's long-term forest-atmosphere exchange research program and a valuable contributor to education programs such as the Harvard Forest Freshman Seminar on Global Change.
